Minimum Loss to AZ treasury
annually is $1.3 BILLION+
Arizona receives an average of $.59 an acre from the Federal Government in PILT (Payment
in Lieu of (Property) Taxes) payments. This equates to about $365 million annually. If
Arizona were to have the SAME percentage of private or state land as most states EAST of
the ROCKIES, Arizona would be earning approximately $1.6 BILLION annually.
Some residents complain that Arizona does not have enough money for
education, infrastructure etc. IF Arizona had control of its land, just as
states EAST of the Rockies do, these shortfalls which cause belt
tightening measures across the state would NOT be necessary.
WHAT DO YOU WANT - LOCKED UP FEDERAL LAND OR FUNDS FOR

Arizona would still be controlled, except PRODUCTIVE.
